YOU’RE AWARE OF YOUR PAIN POINTS
Knowing that you do something isn’t always enough to help you do it differently.
Maybe “anxious” or “apathetic” have become instinctive ways of describing how you’ve been feeling lately. You might find yourself worrying repeatedly about a situation at work, or struggling to connect with your life outside of daily demands.
You recognize that you shut down during conflict, people-please to prevent social tension, or struggle to leave behind what’s familiar, even when it’s not serving you anymore.
And still, knowing isn’t enough to help you get un-stuck.
While identifying what feels hard is part of our work, we focus more on cultivating insight and looking at how you relate to your stressors, ambitions, history, and self. Intentionally and over time, we help you recognize urges and patterns that impact how you live and equip you with skills to participate differently in your life.
Individual Therapy
For adults who find themselves affected by people-pleasing, self-doubt, attachment patterns, rumination, difficult relationships, work stress, fear of the unknown, or a persistent sense that something in their life needs to change.
Our work is about helping you recognize what is happening, connect with what matters, and develop more choice in how you respond.
Clinical Consultation
Collaborative consultation services for newly licensed clinicians and early career therapists looking to develop their approach, refine their skills, and deepen confidence in their work.
In a trusted, supportive space, clinical transformation happens. Depending on where you are in your career, we'll help you cultivate your treatment philosophy and integrate it into your practice. Whether you're newly licensed or have been practicing for a few years, meaningful development can happen anytime you're willing to engage the curiosity and discomfort it requires.
HOW I WORK
Therapy that is honest, challenging, and grounded in mutual trust.
Some enter our work wrestling with the push-pull of past traumas that live somewhere inside of them, wondering if it’s worth it to look back or if such experiences can ever truly be resolved. Many know what they’re affected by (rumination spirals, fear of the unknown) and what they’d like to be different (more fulfillment, less apathy), but feel unsure of how to initiate or sustain meaningful change in their lives.
Together, we’ll take notice of past experiences, systems of power, cultural influences, and relationships that shape who and how you are today. We’ll uncover the beliefs that filter your understanding of yourself and the world, looking at how they developed and considering alternative ways of thinking, being, and feeling.
WHAT IS RELATIONAL THERAPY?
Shifting your relationship to self and others.
Relational therapy centers on the idea that our mental health, emotional well-being, and longevity are all linked to the quality of our connections. In therapy, we explore how your early experiences shape the blueprint you carry into your relationships with self & others. We look at traits and tendencies that play out as you engage with life, including the re-creation of painful interpersonal dynamics that can leave you feeling disconnected and unfulfilled. Examining direct experiences you had with your caregiver(s), reflecting on norms established by the adult(s) responsible for your safety throughout childhood, and identifying environmental influences on your belief system are all part of this work.
We pay attention to the way your understand and discuss your stressors, noting unconsciously deployed strategies of disconnection, and efforts to protect yourself from distress that actually amplify it. The goal is for curiosity to replace judgment as you determine what can happen next.
